Tweedsmuir Histories
In the late 1940s, the Women's Institutes of Ontario began to compile histories of their communities. The idea for this project came from Lady Tweedsmuir, wife of Lord Tweedsmuir, John Buchan, a well-known author and governor-general of Canada
Many of these histories, now referred to as "Tweedsmuir Histories" date from the 1950s and are available on microfilm for the following communities:
