The quickest way to find local doctors is to use the "Find a Doctor" website listed below. You can call each doctor's office to see if they are accepting new patients. You can also use the services of Health Care Connects.They will provide you with the name of a doctor in your community accepting new patients. You can also look through the Canadian Medical Encyclopedia and look under your geographical area and spoken language. The local yellow pages will also give you a list under "Physicians & Surgeons".

This is a program launched by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. If you do not have a family doctor, registering on the Health Care Connects website will provide you with a Care Co-ordinator who will help you find health care in your local community.
